About The Role:

As a Big Data Engineer at the company, you will leverage your strong understanding of big data technologies alongside your exceptional coding ability. You will provide technical leadership while collaborating closely with the team to ensure high-quality code aligns with project goals and delivery timelines. Your responsibilities will include delivering rapid prototypes and production code while upholding high accessibility standards using modern frameworks, methodologies, and practices such as Clean Code, TDD (Test Driven Development), BDD (Behavior Driven Development), continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, design, and develop services and solutions for large data ingestion, storage, and management using RDBMS, NoSQL databases, log files, and events.
  • Architect and maintain highly scalable, concurrent, and low-latency systems while addressing technical debt.
  • Mentor and train developers within the team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are deployable and monitorable.
  • Participate in sprint planning and provide advice on best practices.

To Be The Right Fit, You'll Need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Big Data.
  • Proficiency in either Functional Java or Scala.
  • Experience with Azure Big Data/Analytics services including ADLS, HDInsight, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
  • Knowledge of big data technology stacks such as Hadoop, Spark, and distributed data stores.
  • Familiarity with IaaS/PaaS solutions and network protocols.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in multi-server environments.

Work Conditions: Hybrid, Full-time.
