BIM Coordinator

About the Job: The company is seeking a BIM Coordinator to report to the BIM/GIS Manager and support the implementation of BIM processes within the project. This role involves managing the cross-functional collaboration environment, including BIM/CAD model management, coordination in compliance with the Project BIM Management Plan, and fostering an innovative culture on the Project.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure coordination of BIM activities among design subcontractors.
• Provide BIM production support to project teams, including maintenance of the Common Data Environment, quality checking of deliverables, and model coordination.
• Develop and institutionalize standardized BIM workflows for project stakeholders.
• Maintain project Exchange Information Requirements for supply chain flow-down.
• Train delivery teams on the CDE and associated BIM workflows.
• Conduct regular assessments for compliance with the project execution strategy and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide operational support to BIM coordinators at third-party firms.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or relevant work experience with 5+ years in a BIM role.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary teams in a project delivery environment.
• Strong communication skills to relay BIM solutions to engineering and construction professionals.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Capture lessons learned and manage workflow implementation.
• Creation and maintenance of federated models.
• Perform clash and coordination detection.
• Conduct model audits and liaise with Client representatives.
• Visit job sites to facilitate BIM discussions.
