Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting models with the structure, architecture, and electrical disciplines.
- Run clash detection, lead coordination meetings, and track issues to closure.
- Review mechanical models for Level of Development (LOD), clearances, maintenance access, and information content.
- Check models against design drawings, equipment schedules, and specifications.
- Define service zones and routing strategy in ceiling voids and risers with other disciplines.
- Produce coordinated services drawings, sections, and builder's work drawings.
- Manage model sharing on the Common Data Environment in line with ISO 19650.
- Guide and review the work of mechanical BIM modelers.
- Support mechanical modeling activities as required, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years of BIM experience on mechanical systems, including fire fighting.
- UAE experience preferred.
Software
- Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Skills
- Hands-on modeling skills to support the team when required.
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM Execution Plans.
- Experience with model review, clash detection, and LOD requirements.
- Good communication and reporting skills in English.
- Ability to work with clients, consultants, and contractors.
