Bechtel Corporation is seeking a BIM Coordinator who will report to the BIM/GIS Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to implement BIM processes that support the delivery of the project. Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure coordination of BIM activities, including standard templates, clash management, and design reviews among design subcontractors.
- Provide BIM production support to project teams and maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE), model federation, and interference management.
- Develop and enhance standardized BIM workflows for project stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular assessments to review implementation of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and ensure compliance with project execution strategy.
- Integrate BIM/3D models with scheduling for 4D construction simulation and progress tracking.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or relevant work experience with at least 5 years in a BIM role.
- Experience in a project delivery environment working with multi-disciplinary teams.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey BIM/CIM and technology solutions effectively.
- Proficient in model coordination, creation, and maintenance of federated models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Knowledge of industry-wide standards (e.g., ISO19650) and experience in performing clash detection and coordination.
