What You'll Be Doing:
- Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting work status.
- Produce typical products such as detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required. May supervise one or more subordinates and give input regarding performance.
- Be assigned to a project or organizational team, or serve as a lead engineer for specific disciplines on small to intermediate size projects.
- Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in BIM Implementation on Infrastructure Utilities Projects.
- Experience from either a Consultant or Contractor Environment on Infrastructure Projects.
- Familiarity with ISO and UK BIM Standards.
- Proficient in a range of BIM authoring, scripting, design review, coordination, simulations, and collaboration applications and/or platforms (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, Open Buildings Designer, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Navisworks, Cost X, Synchro, BIM 360 / ACC, ProjectWise, etc.).
- Middle East/Gulf Countries experience preferred but not essential.
Desired Skills:
- Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to form effective relationships with Project Delivery Teams, Clients, and Contractors under time pressure.
- Ability to develop analytical reports and presentations.
