About
The BIM Manager manages the integration and coordination of 3D models across project teams both internally as well as externally, ensuring alignment with BIM standards and protocols. This role involves identifying and resolving clashes, maintaining quality control through model audits, and facilitating collaboration using tools like BIM360, ACC, or Navisworks. Additionally, the manager will generate reports on project progress, address technical issues, and support/guide team members with necessary inputs to ensure streamlined workflows and minimize errors in project delivery.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Model Coordination and Clash Detection: Integrate and coordinate 3D models from various disciplines (e.g. BHS, architecture, structure, MEP), identify conflicts or "clashes" between models, and work with teams to resolve them effectively.
  • Quality Control and Model Audits: Regularly review and audit models to ensure they adhere to project specific and industry standards, maintaining accuracy and completeness throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Enforcing BIM Standards and Protocols: Ensure that all models comply with BIM standards, guidelines, and protocols, as well as any specific project requirements.
  • Data Management and Collaboration: Manage data exchange, version control, and model sharing through Common Data Environments (CDE) like BIM360, ACC, or Navisworks, supporting collaboration across disciplines.
  • Generating and Managing Reports: Prepare clash reports, model progress reports, and other documentation to provide insights into the project's status and help track model updates and changes.
  • Software Support and Training: Provide guidance and troubleshooting for BIM-related software, train team members on BIM processes, and ensure they are familiar with relevant tools and standards.
  • Maintaining Communication and Coordination: Act as a point of contact between project stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and coordination to ensure that everyone is aligned on model changes, requirements, and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical engineering
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Mandatory knowledge on BIM software and tools including but not limited to Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM360, and ACC.
