Position

The key responsibility of the BIM Manager role is to manage, coordinate, establish, and implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) across projects. The BIM Manager is required to possess strong knowledge of BIM procedures, ISO19650 standards, and BIM software, as well as the technical skills needed to manage BIM models, contractual documents, quality checking and control, and information uses of the models.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive the adoption of BIM processes and procedures aligned with ISO19650, supporting chain assessment, BIM kick-off meetings, work process maps, and compliance of Appointed Parties' BIM documents and digital deliverables following Appointing Party requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and primary contact to clients on all technical modeling matters.
  • Manage BIM deliverables produced by different Design Teams and ensure that information uses in the models are implemented as per Employer's Information Requirements (EIR) and BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Lead the development of Pre/Post Contract BIM Execution Plans and EIR's Appendices.
  • Coordinate with Design Teams on model production to ensure BIM deliverables meet agreed Level of Information Need, Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP), Model Information Delivery Plan (MIDP), BEP, and Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols.
  • Responsible for project-wide BIM Quality Assurance/Quality Control monitoring.
  • Guide Design Teams in implementing a library of objects with embedded content providing the Level of Information Need based on the phase and Appointing Party requirements.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline (preferably a Master’s degree).
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Design from a Civil/Architecture/Engineering background.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in BIM Implementation on Major Projects or Programs.
  • Minimum 4 years of regional experience in the GCC.
  • Expert knowledge of core BIM software packages and workflows; ability to perform in an operational-lead capacity for model development and production management.
  • Strong management and communication skills, with an understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Software Skills:
Experience with industry-standard BIM and Engineering tools, including but not limited to Civil3D, Revit, Navisworks Manage, and ACONEX. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe, and optional tools such as Dynamo, Python, and PowerBI is a plus.

Language Requirements:
Fluency in English is required.
