Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced BIM Modeller who specializes in MEP and commercial buildings. This hands-on role will involve roughly 60% of your time dedicated to production BIM tasks and 40% focused on platform intelligence. You will be responsible for modelling to LOD 350-400 under ISO 19650, assessing the time savings achieved through AI and automation, evaluating emerging AI tools based on real project data, and translating modelling workflows into product specifications and criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce federated MEP models (HVAC, plumbing and drainage, fire protection, electrical, ELV and low-current systems) for various project types including offices, retail, hospitality, mixed-use, and data-centre projects.
- Model to LOD 350-400, which includes creating fabrication-ready ductwork, pipework, containment, hangers, and supports as required.
- Build and maintain parametric Revit families, shared parameters, and project templates that adhere to the company standards.
- Execute clash detection in Navisworks and BIM Collaborate Pro across architectural, structural, and MEP models.
- Integrate AI and automation into the modelling workflow, covering aspects such as auto-routing, family generation, drawing and sheet automation, model checking, and scan-to-BIM.
- Write and maintain Dynamo and pyRevit/Python scripts, leveraging AI coding assistants (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) for expedited development.
- Map the AI-for-AEC landscape and conduct structured evaluations of selected tools using real company project datasets.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief Platform/Product Officer to influence platform priorities based on practical insights.
- Employ ISO 19650 information management methodologies, including BEPs, MIDPs/TIDPs, naming conventions, and CDE workflows.
Experience
- 6+ years of BIM modelling experience, with at least 4 years dedicated to MEP in commercial projects.
- A portfolio showcasing coordinated LOD 350+ MEP models from at least 3 completed commercial projects.
- Proven experience in delivering ISO 19650 projects, including multi-disciplinary clash coordination.
- Recognizable use of scripting or AI tools to enhance modelling efficiency, supported by before-and-after data evidence.
Technical Expertise
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit (MEP) and AutoCAD.
- Experienced in Navisworks Manage, clash detection, and BCF issue tracking.
- Familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 and BIM Collaborate Pro.
- Knowledgeable about ISO 19650, BEP/MIDP/TIDP, Uniclass or OmniClass classification, and IFC export.
- Skilled in Dynamo scripting and familiar with Python.
- Regular user of LLM assistants for scripting, creating documentation, and conducting research.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pyRevit, Revit API (C#), and Grasshopper / Rhino.Inside or Autodesk Platform Services (APS) APIs.
- Hands-on experience with AI-for-AEC tools including generative design, auto-routing, drawing automation, AI model checking, or scan-to-BIM processes.
- Knowledge of point cloud import and modelling.
- Experience with fabrication parts (Revit Fabrication / MEP Fabrication) and within data-centre or healthcare services.
- Familiar with Solibri, Revizto, or BIMcollab; COBie, IDS, and bSDD; prior involvement with Dubai Municipality BIM e-submission.
- Previous experience at a software, PropTech or construction-tech company, or within an internal digital tools team.
