Responsibilities
- Utilize BIM-related software to develop and manage digital models.
- Support the preparation, review, and execution of implementation and management plans at the program/project level.
- Collaborate with project teams for effective model integration.
- Assist the team in responding to client queries and requests.
- Provide input to clients and other stakeholders working on the same project.
- Complete model assurance reports and support drafting special provisions, with oversight.
- Interface with other departments on matters relating to work assignments.
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff, review their deliverables, and support the development of training and coaching materials.
- Perform other responsibilities as required by the position.
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of core building information modeling software packages and workflows, as well as understanding of design modeling principles.
- Proficient in moderately advanced modeling software packages and their related principles and applications, familiar with deployment processes, requirements, and software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of engineering principles applicable to modeling assignments.
- Proficient in Common Data Environment (CDE) usage and management for model production.
- Ability to effectively use at least one CDE system such as ProjectWise and/or ACC.
- Capability to develop basic design plans with limited supervision.
- Ability to create design catalogues including 2D symbology, families, parametric parts, sub-assemblies, etc.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices.
- Effective computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical and non-technical subjects effectively to management, engineering, and production staff.
Education and Typical Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of related work experience.
Licenses and Certifications
- BIM-related certification is preferred.
