In this role, you will manage the project team on a daily basis, ensuring the delivery of models and drawings. Acting as the essential link between the BIM supervisor, who holds the overall accountability, and the technicians who produce the work, you will oversee a broad range of delivery and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include direct interaction with design engineers, progress reporting, and ensuring the quality of drawings.

Key Responsibilities
Accountability
- Interact with discipline design engineers regarding the team's scope.
- Report project progress to the BIM supervisor.
- Conduct cut sheets, drawing binding, and pre-set quality control checks on drawings.
Delivery
- Deliver the team's models and drawings according to the task information delivery plan, contributing to the master plan.
- Set up and maintain data shortcuts, base plans, and title block milestones for the team's scope.
- Supervise model development across fields such as wet utilities, dry utilities, MEICA, or smart technology, depending on the team's discipline.
- Implement design automation tools and report any defects.
- Maintain the singular source of truth for 2D extraction of the team's drawings.
Checking and Reviewing
- Validate model submissions against the discipline model checklist and GIS data against the GIS checklist.
- Ensure compliance with drawing checklists and CAD standards for the team's output.
- Conduct final sanity checks of drawings prior to issuing for discipline or interdisciplinary reviews.
- Address document comments and resolve issues for both drawings and models.
Clash and Coordination
- Lead clash resolution activities for team models and agree on fixes’ responsibility.
- Ensure coordination of interfaces and tie-ins within the team's scope and neighboring disciplines.
- Attend production progress and discipline coordination meetings.
People Management
- Provide internal training to the team on authoring tools, the common data environment, and relevant standards and processes.
- Mentor and set objectives for senior technicians and technicians, addressing training needs as necessary.
- Document lessons learned from the team's projects.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of infrastructure design production experience, including at least 3 years leading or modeling/drafting teams in a consultancy.
- Demonstrated success in delivering drawing packages to local authority standards in the UAE or Saudi Arabia.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Technical Requirements
- Expert level in Civil 3D: including pipe and pressure networks, corridors, surfaces, data shortcuts, styles, label sets, and sheet sets.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Navisworks for clash review and resolution.
- Familiar with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 as a work environment, including coordination spaces.
- Skilled in using Bluebeam Revu for markup and review.
- Familiarity with design automation tooling, and with Dynamo or scripting is advantageous.
Additional Information
Newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an the company office location as a condition of employment.
