We are looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Specialist - Landscape to join our team! In this role, you will perform basic to moderately difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques.
Job Description:
- Provide front line project-specific support to design teams.
- Create landscape BIM models and drawings within Revit/Civil 3D to fulfill client requirements from LOD 100-LOD 350.
- Experience in Clash Detection process using Navisworks/Revizto.
- Prepare landscape drawings consisting of general arrangements, grading plans, layouts, details, etc., from rough sketches and engineering design information according to established standards and procedures.
- Develop and maintain CAD and BIM libraries, continually advancing the platforms’ efficiency and utilization.
- Ensure compliance with codes and company policies by utilizing technical manuals and directives.
- Become familiar with various standards and codes such as ISO 19650, BS 1192, etc.
- Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of landscape drawings.
- Understand how to read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
- Provide ongoing training to existing users for CAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
- Assist with the creation of CAD/BIM standards and the implementation of the same throughout the firm.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Landscape, Urban Planning, or Urban Design from an accredited institution.
- Minimum six (6) years of demonstrable BIM/CAD design production experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably landscape projects.
- In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Revit, with proficiency in BIM/CAD processes.
- Experience with BIM/CAD instruction and training.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good capability in oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with different personality types.
