BIM/CAD Specialist - Master Planning (UAE National)

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented BIM/CAD Specialist to join our team in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will work on significant urban development projects and create master plans that will transform our cities. The BIM/CAD Specialist will serve as a resource for the design staff in learning and supporting design technologies essential for the firm's growth across all design disciplines, specifically using AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation, Sketchup, Revit, and other CAD/BIM applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide project-specific support to design teams.
• Prepare urban planning packages, including layouts and DCRs, from rough sketches or general urban planning and design information in accordance with established standards.
• Author and maintain BIM models.
• Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
• Familiarize yourself with various standards and codes such as ISO 19650 and BS 1192.
• Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations necessary for drawing preparation.
• Develop and maintain CAD/BIM libraries, enhancing the platform’s efficiency and utilization.
• Assist with the implementation of CAD/BIM standards throughout the firm.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in design software; experience in CAD/BIM instruction and training is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation, Sketchup, and Revit, along with proficiency in CAD/BIM processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse personality types.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with good communication capabilities.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning/design or architecture.
• Professional certifications in Autodesk/Bentley/ESRI Products.
• Professional BIM/ISO certifications.
