What You'll Be Doing:
- Regular interface with other departments and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- Communicate effectively with management, engineering, and production staff on modeling technical and non-technical subjects.
- Interface regularly with other departments on matters relating to work assignments.
- Demonstrate very good knowledge and practice of Civil 3D.
- Exhibit very good knowledge of the Dynamo tool.
- Provide technical guidance and supervise junior modeling staff.
- Act in an advisory capacity to senior management and production staff on related work matters.
- Contribute to the development of training material.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Common Data Environment usage and management for model production.
- Work closely with the Roads Digital Design & Delivery Lead, Engineering Leads, and Senior Drafter to ensure the project’s compliance with the given policies and processes and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
- Develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
- Understand and manage all BIM related activities from project startup to project completion.
- Review each drawing for readability, presentation, and adherence to standards, in accordance with the company QA/QC process.
- Possess good knowledge in content creation and create different types of parametric and non-parametric families.
- Have strong knowledge of LOD requirements.
- Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
- Exhibit good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, with experience in clash detection and producing clash reports.
- Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Diploma in a Civil Engineering discipline; Bachelor’s degree is an addition.
- Minimum 10 years related work experience with a Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years related work experience with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.
- Software experience required: AutoCAD is a must.
- Familiarity with Common Data Environment: ProjectWise & BIM360 or ACC.
- Good knowledge in BIM, understanding LOD requirements and BIM processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Capability to supervise the BIM Modelers and BIM Analysts in the team.
- Proficient knowledge of engineering principles and ability to apply these principles to modeling assignments.
- Proficient in utilizing most modeling principles, techniques, and analyses to complete a wide variety of difficult complex assignments/plans.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of advanced modeling principles and application.

- MicroStation is desirable.
