BIM/CAD Specialist

The company is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Specialist - Landscape to join our team in Dubai, UAE! In this role, you will perform basic to moderately-difficult design/drafting assignments requiring a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provide front line project specific support to design teams.
• Create landscape BIM models and drawings within Revit/Civil 3D to fulfill client requirements from LOD 100-LOD 350.
• Experience in Clash Detection process using Navisworks/Revizto.
• Prepare Landscape drawings consisting of general arrangements, grading plans, layouts, details, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
• Develop and maintain CAD and BIM libraries, continually advancing the platforms’ efficiency and utilization.
• Ensure compliance with codes and company policies by utilizing technical manuals and directives.
• Familiarize with various standards and codes such as ISO 19650, BS 1192, etc.
• Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of Landscape drawings.
• Understand how to read orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
• Provide ongoing training to existing users for CAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
• Assist with the creation of CAD/BIM standards and the implementation of the same throughout the firm.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering/Architecture/Landscape/Urban Planning/Urban Design from an accredited institution.
• Minimum six (6) years demonstrable experience of BIM/CAD design production experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably landscape projects.
• In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Revit with proficiency in BIM/CAD processes.
• Experience with BIM/CAD instruction and training.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good communication skills.
• Computer skills and proficiency in design software are mandatory.
