What You'll Be Doing:
- Work closely with Traffic & Delivery Lead, Engineering Leads and Senior Drafter to ensure the project’s compliance with the given policies and processes, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
- Develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details from rough sketches and/or general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
- Understand BIM modeling process and manage all BIM-related activities from project start-up to project completion.
- Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance with company QA/QC process.
- Create different types of parametric and non-parametric families.
- Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
- Good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, with experience in clash detection and producing clash reports.
- Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
- Minimum 3 years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting experience in roads, highways, road signs & marking, and traffic study.
- Software experience required: AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Microstation.
- Familiarity with Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise & BIM360 or ACC.
Desired Skills
- Openroads and Navisworks are desirable.
- Good knowledge in BIM, understanding LOD requirements and BIM processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English.
