BIM/CAD Technician

The company is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform basic to moderately-difficult design and drafting assignments.

Responsibilities Include:

• Work closely with the BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure compliance with policies and processes, and timely implementation and completion.
• Develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details from rough sketches or general engineering design information, according to established standards and procedures.
• Understand BIM modeling processes and manage all BIM-related activities from project start-up to completion.
• Review each drawing for readability, presentation, and adherence to standards in accordance with the company QA/QC process.
• Create various types of parametric and non-parametric families.
• Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
• Use Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and producing clash reports.
• Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
• Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.

Required Skills:

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting experience in infrastructure, roads, and bridges.
• Good knowledge in BIM and understanding of LOD requirements and BIM processes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Common Data Environment: ProjectWise & BIM360 is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
