BIM/CAD Technician (MEP)

About the Role
Join a dynamic team as a BIM/CAD Technician (MEP) in Dubai, UAE, where you will play a crucial role in developing MEP design and drafting assignments. You will work closely with the BIM lead and design leads to ensure compliance with project policies, processes, and timely implementation of project deliverables.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with the BIM lead, design leads, and engineers to create engineering drawings, including basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details based on sketches and general engineering information according to established standards.
• Manage all BIM-related activities from project startup to completion, ensuring adherence to quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Review all drawings for readability, presentation, and compliance with company standards.
• Create a variety of parametric and non-parametric families, demonstrating strong content creation skills.
• Understand and apply Levels of Development (LOD) requirements in modeling.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other disciplines to address coordination issues and model development tasks.
• Utilize Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and generating clash reports.
• Perform scheduling and quantity extraction from the BIM model.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in BIM/CAD drafting for MEP projects in the GCC region, specifically with pump stations, gas networks, HVAC, and the mechanical aspects of metro stations, substations, and MCC rooms.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation software.
• Experience with Common Data Environments, specifically ProjectWise ISO19650 and ACC Autodesk.
