BIM/CAD Technician (Wet Utilities)

Join our innovative team as a BIM/CAD Technician (Wet Utilities) in Dubai, UAE, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance and successful implementation of projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Work closely with the BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with established policies and processes, ensuring timely implementation and completion.
• Collaborate with BIM Lead, Design Leads, and Engineers to develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details from rough sketches and/or general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
• Understand the BIM modeling process and manage all BIM-related activities from project start-up to completion.
• Review each drawing for readability, presentation, and adherence to standards in accordance with company QA/QC processes.
• Create different types of parametric and non-parametric families.
• Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
• Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
• Perform additional responsibilities as necessary for the role.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 4+ years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting experience in wet and dry utilities projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Navisworks, as well as with Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise and BIM360.
• Good knowledge of BIM, with an understanding of LOD requirements and BIM processes.
• Experience in clash detection and producing clash reports.
• Strong knowledge in content creation.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
