We are looking for a BO Transmission Engineer to join our team and support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transmission and IP network infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring network performance and service availability through second-line technical support, network configuration, incident resolution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What you will do
- Perform end-to-end second-line troubleshooting across IP and transmission networks, including routers, switches, MPLS environments, and transmission nodes.
- Manage incident, problem, and configuration activities to maintain network performance and stability.
- Support transmission-related outages and service degradation investigations.
- Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade network devices and services.
- Conduct node acceptance, audits, and network health assessments.
- Collaborate with field, access, operations, and third-party teams to resolve complex issues.
- Follow up on transmission design-related matters and support implementation activities.
- Open and manage escalations with third-line support when required.
- Review and verify transmission-related network changes and activities.
- Participate in technical investigations, analysis sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work in a 24/5 shift environment and provide on-call support during weekends when required.
The skills you bring
- 1 to 4 years of experience in transmission network operations, support, or troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of IP networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with Cisco routers and switches.
- Experience troubleshooting transmission technologies and network nodes.
- Hands-on experience with the company transmission solutions such as Mini-Link TN, Mini-Link 6600, Mini-Link 6352, R6000, and SIU/TCU is an advantage.
- Understanding of configuration, incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Experience using network management and monitoring tools.
- Telecom industry experience is preferred.
- Basic scripting knowledge or automation experience is considered a plus.
- Cisco and/or the company networking certifications are preferred.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, shift rotations, and on-call support when required.
- A collaborative attitude with a passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
