Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis, including assessment of forces, stresses, and loads to ensure bridges meet necessary safety standards.
- Review structural calculations and utilize computer software for modeling bridges and exploring design options.
- Regularly inspect construction sites to ensure quality aligns with design plans and resolves arising issues.
- Assess existing bridges' safety by identifying damage, corrosion, or structural problems.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports to document findings and recommendations.
- Attend meetings and discussions with clients and relevant authorities.
Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of mathematics, physics, and mechanics applicable to bridge engineering.
- Skilled in calculating stresses and strains in different bridge types, with knowledge of concrete and steel properties, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
- Proficient in bridge construction techniques including phasing, launching, and segmental construction.
- Competent in technical investigation methods and familiar with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, Revit, and finite element modeling tools.
Qualifications
- Education:
- University Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- Post-graduate Degree in Structural/Bridge Engineering.
- Training:
- Foundation engineering, soil mechanics, prestressed concrete, steel structures, bridge inspection and assessment, traffic engineering, retrofit and rehabilitation.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years as a Bridge Engineer, including independent structural analysis, preparation of calculations, and client engagement.

- Maintain a high degree of expertise through ongoing specialized training.
- Assist in commercial actions to align client needs with company services.
- Prepare technical aspects of tenders and contribute to best practices and knowledge management efforts.
HSE Requirements
- Authorized to stop work if conditions are unsafe and must inform supervisors for guidance.
- Comply with legal requirements and internal HSE policies.
- Responsible for personal safety and that of others and for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure adherence to HSE procedures.

- Actively share knowledge and promote client satisfaction.
Performance Monitoring & Development
- Complete specified professional training requirements on time.
- Read professional literature and attend relevant courses and seminars.
- Monitor performance through KPIs such as report delivery time, quality, technical capability, client feedback, and identification of commercial opportunities.
