Build and Release Engineer

MyWhoosh is a Virtual Cycling Solution that brings the exhilarating experience of outdoor cycling into the comfort of your home, offering a social and immersive indoor cycling experience. MyWhoosh is a free-to-play platform where users can pursue their fitness and training goals, participate in online events, and explore beautiful virtual environments, all from the comfort of their homes. Riders are immersed in a virtual world of cycling, with the freedom to ride at their own pace and intensity, while being part of a supportive and engaging community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create builds from various branches for multiple platforms.
• Coordinate with development teams to gather changes going into a build.
• Plan internal deployments for QA and other teams for testing.
• Document changes going into a build and circulate build notes with relevant teams.
• Plan and schedule build cycles.
• Write/enhance build scripts for maximum automation and deployments.
• Create/enhance automated systems for reporting build failures and their reasons.
• Manage available build machine resources and optimize parallel builds and build time.
• Prepare solid builds for release.

Experience & Expertise:

• Expertise in communicating, resolving, and documenting issues in the build process.
• Experience using tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodeDeploy, AWS S3, Xcode, Android Studio, and Visual Studio.
• Proficient in using Mac, Windows, and Linux machines for creating builds.
• Experience writing Groovy scripts, batch scripts, and shell scripts.
• Knowledge of SDLC and its workflows and procedures.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and process-oriented.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in build creation and deployment, including release steps and store deployment.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of the Unreal Engine build process.
