Business Analyst - IT

About the Job:
The Business Analyst in IT will define functional requirements, ensure comprehensive documentation, and oversee sign-off processes while bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in corporate finance requirements, a thorough understanding of Requirement Gathering techniques, documentation of requirements, functional testing, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Project Development Life Cycle (PDLC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a liaison among business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information, and information systems.
• Contribute to the development of business strategy and new initiatives with IT for all financial systems and projects.
• Manage overall relationships with other business stakeholders for assigned projects and business units, establishing an effective and consistent customer experience.
• Drive automation of processes and system enhancements to achieve productivity benefits in accordance with best practices.
• Understand user requirements and collaborate with IT to ensure timely delivery of new system projects and enhancements within agreed timelines and budgeted costs.
• Coordinate with finance and business teams to achieve business objectives by leveraging system functionality.
• Assess existing controls and establish new ones as necessary to safeguard sensitive financial information.
• Negotiate with business to review change requests, ensuring consistent utilization of approved methods, processes, and tools.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and scripts for various test phases and execute and coordinate testing activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the Finance domain (3+ years).
• Fluent in English.
• Airline experience would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Oracle E-Business suite and basic accounting skills are required.
• 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.
