Business Analyst

About the Job
Engaging with business stakeholders to elicit and define business project scope, business requirements, and workflows as related to assigned projects or new intake items. The successful candidate will have good work experience and a desire to work in a culturally diverse organization.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex projects independently, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
• Document all detailed business requirements within internally approved systems using Scaled Agile Methodology (Composing Epics).
• Engage with senior business leads to understand new project scope, creating scope statements and detailing scope requirements for the portfolio and project intake process.
• Document and oversee system integration requirements involving legacy platforms and third-party solutions by acting as a liaison between business units and technology teams, ensuring clear communication and delivery.
• Build extensive knowledge of business operations to analyze current work procedures and practices.
• Investigate, evaluate, and report alternative solutions to business needs ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with IT Business Systems Analysts to ensure business processes align with technology solutions.
• Participate in systems analysis design sessions as needed.
• Lead the user acceptance test cases in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Oversee the execution of user acceptance testing ensuring thorough validation of business requirements.
• Monitor, track, and report UAT defects while coordinating with the QA test team for defect remediation and ensuring timely resolution.

Experience/Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information management, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• 5-10 years of business analysis work preferably in the insurance or financial services sector with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
• Extensive experience in the analysis and interpretation of business requirements across all aspects of transacting insurance or financial services business.
• In-depth understanding of the UAE insurance market and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Proven ability to lead the analysis and support of the production of project proposals or business cases.
• Demonstrate expertise in business process re-engineering and optimization.
• Experience creating user acceptance testing documentation and leading the UAT process.
• Must be a proactive self-starter capable of planning and leading work sessions with minimal oversight.
• Advanced proficiency in business analysis techniques such as process modeling, root cause analysis, data modeling, process mapping, and traceability.
• Deep knowledge and experience in Scaled Agile Framework and Agile methodologies.
