Purpose of Role:
The Business Analyst will engage with business stakeholders to elicit and define project scope, business requirements, and workflows related to assigned projects or new initiatives. This role requires a strong background in business analysis in a culturally diverse organization.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT Business Systems Analysts (BSA) to document business process requirements and flow related to process development or improvements.
- Document detailed business requirements using Scaled Agile Methodology, including composing Epics.
- Engage with business leads to understand project scope and create scope statements for project intake processes.
- Document system integration requirements between business units and technology teams.
- Analyze current work procedures and practices and propose alternative solutions in line with regulatory standards.
- Work closely with IT BSAs to ensure alignment of business processes with technology solutions.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) by developing test case documentation and coordinating with QA for defect resolution.
Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information management, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of business analysis experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Familiarity with the UAE insurance market and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Proven understanding of business process re-engineering and experience leading UAT.
- Knowledge of business analysis techniques such as process modeling and root cause analysis.
Skills Required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with customer focus.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced user of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Project, Visio) and experience with Jira, Azure Dev Ops.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile framework; Six Sigma certification is a plus.
