We are seeking a Business Data Analyst with banking or financial services experience to support data-driven transformation, reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives. The role will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology/data teams, translating business requirements into data requirements, analyzing data across multiple banking systems, identifying data-quality issues, and supporting reporting, reconciliation, and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and data requirements from Banking, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and other business teams.
- Understand banking processes, products, systems, and associated data flows.
- Identify relevant data sources across core banking, digital channels, CRM, risk, finance, and other enterprise systems.
- Perform data discovery, profiling, cleansing, and validation to identify gaps, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
- Develop source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, business rules, and data lineage documentation.
- Write and execute SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, exceptions, data-quality issues, and business insights.
- Develop and maintain MIS, dashboards, and management reports using Power BI, Excel, or similar BI tools.
- Support automation of manual reporting and data-analysis processes.
- Perform data reconciliation between source systems, data warehouses, and reporting outputs.
- Work with technology teams, data engineers, and vendors to resolve data issues and clarify business rules.
- Support SIT/UAT, including preparation of test scenarios, validation of data, reports, and business rules.
- Investigate production data issues and support root-cause analysis and resolution.
- Support regulatory, audit, risk, and compliance-related data requirements where applicable.
- Prepare clear documentation, analytical findings, and presentations for business and senior stakeholders.
- Participate in data migration, integration, and digital-transformation projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–6 years of experience as a Business Data Analyst, Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst.
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, or fintech is strongly preferred.
- Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, subqueries, and data validation.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, data structures, databases, and data quality.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI/reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with data mapping, reconciliation, business rules, and requirements documentation.
- Understanding of ETL, data warehouses, and enterprise data environments.
- Experience supporting UAT/SIT and working with technology teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Temenos T24/Transact, Oracle, FIS, Finacle, or other core-banking platforms.
- Knowledge of banking domains such as Retail/Corporate Banking, Payments, Lending, Cards, Finance, Risk, AML/KYC, or Regulatory Reporting.
- Exposure to Python, Alteryx, SAS, or other data-analytics/automation platforms.
- Experience with data migration or enterprise data-transformation projects.
- Understanding of CBUAE/regulatory reporting requirements.
