About the Role
The Business Development Associate Intern supports Sales and Account Management teams in identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and supporting sales activities across a portfolio of technology solutions. This includes areas such as Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, Digital Solutions, and other emerging technologies. This internship provides hands-on exposure to the technology sales lifecycle, from market research and prospecting through opportunity qualification, customer engagement, and proposal support. The intern will work alongside experienced Account Managers, gaining practical experience in consultative technology sales while contributing to live customer opportunities and business development activities.

Responsibilities
Business Development & Prospecting

  • Research target industries, organizations, and key decision-makers to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Support lead generation activities through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn, industry events, and other relevant channels.
  • Assist in qualifying prospective customers by understanding their business requirements, priorities, budget, and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate prospect information and support the development of high-quality target account lists.

Customer Engagement & Sales Support

  • Support Account Managers in preparing for customer discovery meetings by conducting company research and compiling account information and briefing materials.
  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and discussions alongside Account Managers to gain practical exposure to consultative technology sales.
  • Assist with customer follow-ups, proposals, presentations, and other sales-related activities.
  • Develop an understanding of customer business challenges and how technology solutions can address their requirements.

Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, including customer activities, opportunity stages, follow-up actions, and next steps.
  • Support Account Managers in monitoring opportunities and maintaining visibility across the sales pipeline.
  • Assist with sales reporting and other operational activities required to support effective account management.
  • Ensure agreed customer and internal follow-up actions are completed within required timelines.

Learning & Development

  • Develop knowledge of the technology portfolio, including Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data & AI, and Digital Solutions.
  • Build an understanding of prospecting, lead qualification, consultative selling, account management, and opportunity management.
  • Learn how technology solutions are positioned against customer business requirements and challenges.
  • Develop practical communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer engagement skills through direct exposure to the Sales and Account Management teams.

Requirements

  • Fresh graduates and candidates with up to one year of internship or early-career experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in business development, technology sales, or account management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence engaging with different stakeholders.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and follow-up actions.
  • Proactive, curious, and willing to learn about technology, customer businesses, and different industries.
  • Resilient and comfortable working within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
