About the Job:
Our Business Development teams play a critical role in expanding Gartner’s presence across the global market. Business Development Executives strategically acquire new clients by cultivating trust-based relationships with C-level executives to understand their mission-critical priorities and uncover opportunities to deliver client value through the lens of the industry in which they operate. They drive the full sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closure and transition of new accounts to the account management team.

Business Development Executives will be given a territory of Large Enterprise prospects, which may be completely new or clients within other Gartner areas. Clients have up to $1 billion in annual revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Seek out and drive new business opportunities with new-to-Gartner organizations across your territory, targeting Large Enterprise C-Level stakeholders.
  • Convert viable prospects into active Gartner clients, managing the sales conversation and negotiation to transition new clients to the account management team.
  • Build a pipeline of high-quality opportunities to meet sales metrics and ensure KPI’s are met.
  • Manage complex high-revenue sales and maintain forecasting and account planning on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in complex, intangible sales environments.
  • Experience in business development or new client acquisition is highly desired.
  • Experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
