Position

The company is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead financial partnerships for card payments and services worldwide. In this role, you will take ownership of identifying, closing, and scaling high-value partnerships that drive customer acquisition, product adoption, and revenue generation. You will be responsible for leading high-impact relationships with global payment schemes and other external stakeholders, structuring and leading strategic initiatives, and navigating global regulatory changes related to card revenues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-impact relationships with global payment schemes and external stakeholders (public authorities, research institutions, industry associations).
  • Structure and lead strategic initiatives focused on maximizing card (debit and credit) P&L.
  • Navigate global regulatory changes linked to card revenues and define action plans to achieve optimal outcomes for the company and its customers.
  • Quantify commercial implications of regulatory and market shifts to inform decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Manage mission-critical initiatives from initial scoping through to final completion and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Government Affairs to monitor regulatory changes impacting card revenues globally, proactively proposing solutions.
  • Work closely with other teams (Card Payments, Legal, Merchant Acquiring, FX, etc.) to execute projects and card payment initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 9+ years of experience in financial services with a focus on card payments.
  • Expertise in card scheme economics and the overall payments ecosystem.
  • Solid understanding of the regulatory environment associated with cards and other payment methods.
  • Proactive drive to implement change and solve problems.
  • Excellent structuring and program management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
  • Great communication skills for collaboration with global stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with card payments P&L and the ability to analyze key drivers.
  • Natural curiosity and a willingness to make an impact.
