Position

The purpose of this position is to lead and drive growth within the UAE Business across a range of sectors including, but not limited to, emergency services, defence, mobility, advisory, aviation, and citizen services. This role is critical in understanding our market, building partnerships, delivering tailored solutions, and aligning our offerings with the strategic priorities of the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market analysis to understand the addressable market, opportunities, and clients to target.
  • Generate new business and organic growth opportunities within the UAE.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships within the UAE market that can support our growth ambitions.
  • Collaborate with Business Units to lead shaping and designing new market-facing value propositions.
  • Create, lead, and implement a structured client engagement programme for the sales team.
  • Drive business growth by identifying, developing, and closing profitable opportunities in the UAE.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government, private sector stakeholders, partners, and international organizations.
  • Represent Serco at senior levels, industry events, and client engagements, delivering proposals and value propositions.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, local laws, and reporting requirements while maintaining accurate pipeline data.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or solutions management in the region, preferably within the UAE.
  • Proven experience in the Middle East market, particularly in UAE.
  • Strong understanding of the sectors relevant to business development.
  • The ideal candidate should hold a relevant Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution.
  • Extensive bidding, business development, and commercial experience on large complex business opportunities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the UAE market with a network that will support growth ambitions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
