Business Development Officer - SME - Sales

About the Role This position focuses on sourcing new business banking current accounts and generating fee income through various banking products. The role requires active prospecting in targeted markets, building and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving monthly sales targets. Adhering to compliance policies and engaging in marketing activities is crucial for success. Key Responsibilities - Source new business banking current accounts. - Ensure accounts are funded according to expectations defined in KPIs. - Generate fee income for the bank through: - Foreign Exchange - Trade - Bancassurance - Deposits - Prospect in targeted markets, meeting standards in phone calls and face-to-face visits. - Present and sell all business banking products and services to potential customers in an ethical, structured, and professional manner. - Achieve monthly sales targets throughout the financial year. - Maintain and develop relationships with customers to enhance cross-sell opportunities. - Adhere to the Bank's KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) policy. - Ensure KYC guidelines are followed while onboarding business banking customers. - Conduct micro marketing activities, including participation in various Business Banking events and other direct marketing activities. - Handle objections effectively to increase take-up rates. - Record all sales activities in Daily Sales Reports and update CRM for leads and contacts. - Participate in team activities such as morning huddles, training, coaching, and mandatory compliance and fraud trainings; engage in Lean and rewards celebrations.
