About the Role
As a Business Development Representative in Dubai, you will join a diverse and passionate team dedicated to powering the world’s payments ecosystem. The primary purpose of the role is to support revenue growth by identifying, researching, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities for the regional sales team. You will work closely with field marketing, regional sales, account executives, and inside sales leadership to convert various engagement activities into qualified sales meetings and opportunities.

Responsibilities
Prospecting and Pipeline Development
- Research target accounts, contacts, buying groups, and market triggers to support regional sales and marketing priorities.
- Execute outbound prospecting across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other approved communication channels to generate qualified meetings.
- Follow up on marketing-generated leads from campaigns, webinars, events, and account-based marketing programs in a timely manner.
- Qualify inbound and outbound interest using agreed criteria and route qualified opportunities appropriately.
- Assist in account mapping for strategic accounts by identifying decision-makers and influencers.
Campaign and Event Follow-Up
- Partner with field marketing to execute follow-up plans post-campaign and post-event to convert engagement into sales conversations.
- Provide feedback to marketing on messaging, engagement, lead quality, and common objections observed during outreach.
- Maintain consistent follow-up cadences for priority accounts aligned with campaign objectives.
- Support regional events by identifying target attendees and coordinating follow-up actions.
Stakeholder Alignment and Sales Support
- Work closely with account executives to align prospecting activity to territory plans and pipeline priorities.
- Prepare concise prospecting notes and account intelligence for effective handover to sales teams.
- Participate in regular sales and marketing alignment meetings to review progress and upcoming campaigns.
- Represent the company professionally in prospect conversations and ensure accurate positioning of solutions.
Systems, Reporting, and Data Quality
- Maintain accurate records of accounts, contacts, activities, and lead status in customer relationship management systems.
- Track activity and outcome metrics including outreach volume, conversations, meetings booked, and lead progression.
- Ensure data quality by updating contact details and lead disposition accurately.
- Provide regular updates on progress, blockers, and recommended next steps to management and stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Needed to Succeed
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, lead generation, or business-to-business marketing.
- Experience or strong interest in enterprise software, financial services, fintech, payments technology, or banking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct structured research and translate findings into targeted outreach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with customer relationship management systems and sales engagement tools.
- Comfort in making cold calls for initial outreach.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of business challenges and relevant solutions the company offers.
- Strong persistence and professionalism in executing outreach cadences.
- Ability to work collaboratively across sales and marketing teams.
- Ability to prioritize accounts and high-value leads based on business needs.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Experience supporting field marketing campaigns or event follow-up in a business-to-business environment.
- Experience prospecting into banks, financial institutions, or merchants.
- Familiarity with payments, fraud prevention, or enterprise payments infrastructure.
- Experience with sales engagement platforms and marketing automation systems.
- Additional regional language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to support multiple sales stakeholders across territories.
