We're seeking a Business Development Specialist for our Commercial team. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be crucial in generating new business opportunities, managing inbound leads, and meeting with existing clients to seek out new clients on behalf of the company. Drawing on your proficiency in establishing rapport, coping with challenges, and concluding transactions, you will be responsible for setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth. You will research, plan, and implement new target market initiatives to create unique experiences only the company can provide.

Your responsibilities

  • Drive new business by identifying, qualifying, and developing new partnership opportunities for the company.
  • Collaborate closely with Partnerships Managers, Partner Success, and Marketing teams to strategize creative outreach campaigns and determine priority of outreach based on potential impact.
  • Manage the first stages of the Business Development pipeline by performing initial outreach and nurturing leads through various inbound channels, including phone, email, and social media.
  • Drive new client acquisition, revenue, and market share in the e-commerce industry to meet/exceed quota.
  • Engage potential partners about their goals and challenges, and educate them on the value of the company.
  • Develop best practices and efficient processes for growing our merchant partner base.
  • Contribute significantly to the company's growth as we scale our core business and product.

Your expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in business development or sales or lead generation, ideally 2+ years of experience.
  • Written and verbal fluency in English; excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on data, create insights, and PowerPoint presentations for sales pitches.
