In this role, you will develop the Analytics framework, define business metrics, mine data to uncover consumer insights and business opportunities, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive the business forward. You will closely work with Finance, MENA product/Program teams, Business teams, marketing, Ops teams, and WW F3 stakeholders to improve the way we manage business at scale. You will leverage your skills in business, finance, simulation, and business intelligence to explain, quantify, predict, and prescribe.
You will translate business and financial goals into agile, insightful analytics, create value for both stakeholders and sellers, and communicate findings clearly and actionably to managers and senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to grow the business sustainably, engaging with teams to establish the right mechanisms and owning business performance.
- Analyze and deep dive into business performance metrics, identifying potential changes and presenting insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Build capabilities for integrating science/analytics models necessary for evaluating and implementing new strategies to support growth.
- Continuously improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary datasets, updating existing metrics, and creating new metrics.
- Educate, inform, and drive business decisions by connecting analysis with financial performance.
- Report results in a statistically rigorous and compellingly relevant manner.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards, etc., to drive key business decisions.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Tune complex query performance using profiling tools and SQL.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
- 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau or Power BI.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
- Experience with Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA.
- Advanced degree in statistics, analytics, operational research, business, or a related discipline.
- Experience building scalable reporting.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
- Strong collaborative relationships with key partners in data engineering, business intelligence, software development, finance, modeling, and product teams.
- Proficient in R, Python, or other equivalent statistics and machine learning tools.
- Experience working in the machine learning field, recommendations, and/or personalization.
