We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer who will play a critical role in shaping and driving the data analytics stream within the strategic initiatives team of the MENA region - UAE, KSA, and Egypt.
The Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for developing the analytics framework, defining business metrics, mining data to uncover consumer insights and business opportunities, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive the business. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and possess expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis with a passion for delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders. The right candidate will blend advanced reporting with strong project management skills.
In this role, you will get an opportunity to closely work with Finance, MENA Tech team, Ops team, and WW F3 stakeholders to improve the way we manage business at scale. You will make the best of your skill set in business, finance, simulation, and business intelligence to explain, quantify, predict, and prescribe. You will know how to translate business and financial goals into agile, insightful analytics. You will also seek to create value for both stakeholders and sellers, and will convey findings in a clear, actionable way to managers and senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities
- Identifying opportunities to grow the business sustainably, engaging with teams to set up the right mechanisms and own the business performance.
- Analyzing and diving deep into our business performance metrics, identifying possible changes and presenting insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Building the capabilities necessary for evaluation and implementation of new strategies to support growth through analytics.
- Continually improving ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for secondary datasets, updating existing metrics, and creating new metrics.
- Educating, informing, and driving business decisions by connecting analysis through the lens of financial performance.
- Reporting results in a statistically rigorous and compelling manner.
- Owning the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, and dashboards to drive key business decisions.
- Recognizing and adopting best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Tuning complex query performance using profiling tools and SQL.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Fluency in SQL is a must and experience in data visualization using QuickSight, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in analytical data manipulation on large marketing databases and external data sources.
- Expertise in Excel for data analysis and modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in statistics, analytics, operational research, business, or related discipline.
- Experience with building scalable reporting.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
- Ability to develop strong collaborative relationships with key partners in data engineering, business intelligence, software development, finance, modeling, and product teams.
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or other equivalent statistics and machine learning tools.
- Experience in the machine learning field, recommendations, and/or personalization.
