The Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) will be responsible for developing business metrics, mining data to uncover consumer insights and business opportunities, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive the business. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with proven experience in delivering results. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in both qualitative and quantitative analysis and a passion for delivering actionable insights to key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and solving business problems at their root by understanding the broader context.
  • Using data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop customer insights and business opportunities.
  • Managing and executing entire projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem-solving, and communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Driving the development of quantitative models necessary for evaluating and implementing new strategies with business stakeholders.
  • Performing market segment analysis to identify new trends and opportunities necessary to inform strategic planning.
  • Driving business performance reporting and facilitating team reviews weekly, monthly, and quarterly.

Basic qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  • Proficiency in SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

This is a full-time position in a fast-paced and highly entrepreneurial environment. Proficiency in English is required.
