Business Systems Analyst

About the Job:
The company is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join their team. This role involves business analysis and solution design, data engineering and reporting automation, and ensuring systems and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Analysis and Solution Design:

  • Gather and translate business requirements from the Risk Department into functional and technical specifications, data models, and process flows.
  • Design, document, and implement solutions for reporting, analytics, and system enhancements.
  • Prepare test cases and coordinate user acceptance testing to validate system changes.

• Data Engineering and Reporting Automation:

  • Develop and maintain data models for exposure reporting, P&L analysis, and management dashboards.
  • Use SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar tools to query and validate risk data and automate daily reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the reliability of Risk reporting.

• Systems and Data Integrity:

  • Investigate system and data issues, identifying root causes and driving resolutions.
  • Support data governance and control processes for various financial parameters.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or Data Analyst in a trading, banking, or data-intensive environment.
• Strong practical skills in SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with control frameworks and data modeling concepts.
• Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business teams.
• Knowledge of commodity pricing structures and exposure to Middle Office, Market Risk, or Product Control processes is a plus.
