Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-throughput, low-latency applications for mission-critical trading systems.
- Collaborate with the QA team to ensure reliability and performance of trading systems.
- Participate in the design and review of new features and system architecture.
- Debug and optimize code for efficiency and performance.
- Implement best practices for software development, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in capital markets and brokerage.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with the role, managing and escalating issues to senior management as needed.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in C++ development in a brokerage, high-frequency trading, financial services, or similar environment.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Experience with multi-threading and network programming.
- Knowledge of financial trading systems, protocols, and serialization formats such as FIX, SBE, and FlatBuffers is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the C++11 standard or newer.
