We are hiring a software developer to focus on dqlite, our distributed SQLite database that utilizes our own Raft library for consensus and replication. You will design and implement enhancements to the libraft, dqlite, and go-dqlite components, and work includes both software development and responding to user issues and inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement features across dqlite.
- Debug and resolve user issues.
- Improve Jepsen tests and traditional automated testing for HA database stress tests.
- Engage in our engineering process through code and architectural reviews.
- Collaborate with the open source community and commercial partners.
Requirements:
- Experience with distributed systems (preferably with Raft).
- Strong programming skills in C.
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrency patterns.
- Capacity to learn quickly about new systems and techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.

- This is a remote position.
- Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person.
