The company has been engaged by a large Bank in the UAE to provide resources for their Calypso program. They are seeking Calypso Developers to join a larger team that includes other developers and a testing team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the internal back office and additional teams to develop the necessary functionalities in-house.

Responsibilities:
- Work within Agile development teams to enhance the functionalities of the Calypso application.
- Handle both Run the Bank and Change the Bank functions for the Calypso platform.
- Assist with strategic banking initiatives to develop new capabilities.
- Interact and liaise with teams across various geographic locations.
- Communicate with Business and Operations users to resolve their queries.
- Initially support the Production team to gain an understanding of the project landscape.
Mandatory Skills:
- 10 years of experience in the Calypso domain.
- 5-7 years of development experience on Calypso, specifically with Calypso version 11.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries and understanding Calypso database tables.
- Strong experience in Java programming.
- Good understanding of overall Calypso architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Calypso development and customizations, including Scheduled Tasks, Reports, and Engines.
- Familiarity with Calypso APIs and good analytical skills for resolving production issues.
- Understanding of Calypso's message and sender frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a geographically dispersed team.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income Markets and Products.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Basic understanding of UNIX servers and commands.
- Awareness of back-office processes like SWIFT messages, Settlements, CREs, and Accounting.
- Understanding of FX and Money Market products.
- Experience with tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Azure DevOps, or other CI tools.
Languages: English (C2 Proficient)
