Calypso Product Engineer

The Calypso Product Engineer will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of the Calypso system, with a strong focus on risk management systems. Candidates should possess extensive experience in configuring Calypso for various asset classes, including Fixed Income, Money Market, Interest Rate, FX, and Credit Derivatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and configure Calypso systems for multiple asset classes.
• Utilize Calypso APIs, ensuring hands-on experience with version V15.2 or higher.
• Develop applications using Java (version 1.7 or higher), with a solid understanding of OOP, collections, and multithreading.
• Maintain knowledge of Oracle PLSQL and the Calypso data model.
• Troubleshoot and configure back office operations, including static data, messages, transfers, and settlements.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Calypso architecture and APIs.
• Familiarity with application servers like JBoss and build tools such as Gradle.
• Experience with integration patterns such as Open API.
• Understanding of trade and market data interfaces, including Bloomberg SAPI, TOMS, and Reuters feed.

Functional Skills:

• Experience in system analysis and implementation within trading platforms.
• Good understanding of Fixed Income, FX derivatives, and Credit Derivatives.
• Familiarity with market risk, ERS limit setups, and variance setups in Calypso.
• Knowledge of official P&L accounting within Calypso.

Soft Skills:

• Ability to influence technical decisions across teams, enhancing productivity and effectiveness.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership and work collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with senior and executive management.

Desired Experience:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in implementing, configuring, and maintaining Calypso systems.
• Background in investment banking is preferred.
