Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Category Leader in driving new strategic initiatives and business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Retail PF/Category Leaders to identify the best selection mix to enhance both top-line and bottom-line performance in the Grocery and Non-Grocery portfolio.
- Identify automation opportunities to develop scalable solutions and improve key metrics such as selection, profitability, pricing, and availability.
- Own the P&L post-launch to meet top and bottom-line targets and work on projects to enhance profitability with key stakeholders (vendors, operations, advertising).
- Define and continuously refine the selection assortment to optimize space utilization.
- Engage with the Retail team to source deals during major events to provide continued value to Prime Customers.
- Collaborate with retail category teams to ensure top-quality content to improve conversion rates.
- Negotiate marketing funds from vendors for category visibility during regular business operations and events.
- Partner with the Retail Category team to incorporate UFG requests in the Annual Retail Joint Business Plan for common vendors.
- Collaborate with the Ads team to ensure an equitable share of the Brand Ads investment.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel
- 5+ years in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with a focus on negotiation and delivering results
- Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of professional or military experience
- Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to enhance performance and processes
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, promotion, inventory management, and product development
