The CCS Design Engineer is responsible for executing engineering activities for assigned projects while meeting quality, cost, and schedule requirements. This role includes carrying out project engineering and design activities in accordance with the CCS Engineering Process, implementing the design change process, and supervising and coordinating all engineering activities necessary for project execution, whether performed in-house or by suppliers/subcontractors. The CCS Engineer also ensures compliance with project technical specifications and the defined scope of work. The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall performance of CCS engineering activities for assigned projects and will coordinate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute the Design and Engineering activities for the Protection, Control & Metering Panels of EHV/HV Substation adhering to the Quality, Cost and on time delivery criteria.
- Understand the project technical requirements, customer standards, and specifications, and propose solutions to the customer as per the project scope.
- Perform technical calculations for panels AC/DC load, CT/PT sizing & its adequacy, and relay setting.
- Select protection relays and other auxiliary materials as per project technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Prepare, review, and submit the complete detailed design of the project to the customer and follow up for approval.
- Prepare and coordinate all applicable manufacturing documents required for panels integration with relevant stakeholders of the project.
- Support factory during panels integration and FAT and clarify/close any raised comments/snags during FAT.
- Control projects effectively in terms of budgeted profitability, planning, and general reporting (internal/external). Ensure that agreements with customers for documentation lead times, delivery, reliability, and quality are achieved within the budgetary constraints.
- Analyze customer technical requirements and prepare compliance documentation while highlighting potential risks/exceptions in the projects.
- Raise change requests for any requirements that do not conform to the project specifications.
- Validate design throughout customer acceptance and check consistency of engineering documents before final release to the customer by evaluating customer requirements and associated impacts.
- Work for cost optimization during project execution through standardization and innovative ideas, from the base design phase to the energizing stage.
- Review and validate technical offers from suppliers, support procurement during commercial negotiations for POs issuance, and during the post-order stage.
- Support the site team during the commissioning stage, clear site snags, and respond to site comments/clarifications on time.
- Demonstrate EHS compliance and ensure the Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team while setting an example through proper actions and by actively observing work conditions and behaviors.
- Effectively communicate directly with customers to ensure excellent customer service and build and maintain customer intimacy.
- Work with the application team to address any product issues and provide solutions to the customer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related discipline from a reputed university.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in HV/EHV substation engineering & design.
- Knowledge of products.
- Knowledge of Substation Automation Systems.
- Experience with industries and utilities in Saudi Arabia.
- Ability to read, interpret tender/contract documents, schematics, procedures, and policy guidelines.
- Ability and willingness to travel across the region.
Eligibility Requirement
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restrictions.
