New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Center Coordinator reporting to the Center Director for the Center of Interdisciplinary Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (CIDSAI). The Research Center Coordinator will manage the operations of the Research Center and provide administrative coordination and support to the Center Director, Co-PIs, Researchers, Postdocs, Students, and other members of the Center. The individual will handle the day-to-day operations of the Research Center, focusing on administration, organization, financial, and communication processes to ensure the Center’s smooth operations. A high degree of initiative, independence of action, and ability to achieve results without explicit guidance are expected, as well as the ability to work quickly and efficiently during busy times.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide planning and management of day-to-day operations of the Research Center.
- Offer administrative support to the Center Director, Co-PIs, researchers, post-docs, and student assistants.
- Collaborate effectively with administrative units at NYUAD to address inquiries and interdepartmental concerns.
- Manage CIDSAI space assignments and assist with new collaboration opportunities.
- Compile reports and manage the Center's research tracker.
- Handle budgeting and financial operations, including expense reimbursements and vendor payments.
- Maintain internal and external communications for the Center and support outreach efforts.
- Organize and manage events, conferences, and seminars.
Qualifications required include a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years of high-level administrative experience, experience in a university’s administrative environment, project management, financial management, and strong written and oral communication skills in English. A preferred Master’s degree and familiarity with NYUAD procedures and operations, along with 2+ years in an administrative role at NYUAD and knowledge of foreign languages, particularly Arabic, are also beneficial. The role is full-time and fixed-term for 3 years, located in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, and is on-site.
