About the Job
Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Chief Architect to lead the Architectural team within the Royal Commission (RC) Jubail Technical Affairs Engineering Department. This role involves overseeing and directing the architectural components of design, documentation, and construction support for all capital projects contributing to the growth and expansion of Jubail Industrial City. Projects will encompass a variety of structures including residential buildings, commercial centers, schools, sports centers, government buildings, mosques, and healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will contribute to long-term master planning and technical studies related to the city's development, as well as maintain unified architectural standards across Royal Commission cities.
Major Responsibilities
- Recommend architectural concept designs for various projects.
- Administer and supervise the architectural design team.
- Maintain communication with external technical consultants and other engineering disciplines.
- Support the construction department by issuing Design Change Notices (DCNs), Technical Queries (TQ), and more.
- Liaise with other departments, such as Urban Planning and Landscaping.
- Review and update Guideline Specifications and Engineering Manuals related to architectural development.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 15 years of relevant experience in architectural design from conceptualization to completion.
- Experience with BIM/Digital Twin and the Autodesk Design suite (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Professional Architect Registration and/or a license to practice architecture.
- Accreditation as LEED AP BD+C.
- Knowledge of Saudi Building Code preferred; experience in the GCC, notably in Saudi Arabia, is advantageous.
- Excellent technical communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong directional leadership, people management, and persuasive communication skills.
Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills may be beneficial.
