- Location: On-site in Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Job details: The Chief Architect will partner with the technical leads of the different product lines on the crypto platform, including custody, crypto trading, staking, validators, active treasury technology teams and join a global, highly skilled, team to realize the Business and platform vision of M2. The successful candidate will be able to effectively combine long-term strategic vision with hands-on, in-depth crypto and blockchain practical architecture, problem-solving strengths, communication, and leadership skills to help bring about a wide-reaching evolution in platform capability. This position will report to the CTO.
- Key areas of responsibility:
- Hands-on Technical Architect working closely with the Business, technical delivery teams, and partner teams to define crypto platform architecture across custody, exchange, staking, Treasury.
- Subject matter expert responsible for partner/assessment including custody, trading, market making, liquidity provisioning, staking.
- Align Trading Architecture with the wider Enterprise Architecture and Business vision.
- Understand and review current system architecture.
- Define the glide path from current state to target architecture.
- Ensure our platform architecture remains secure.
- Drive to the highest levels of quality and service.
- Promote enterprise-wide standardization and reuse of technology components.
- Track industry trends and ensure new system designs exploit enabling technologies to drive market differentiators.
- Maintain strong working relationships and ensure design patterns and best practices are communicated to and effectively adopted by development teams across all product lines.
- Be accountable to ensure all development adheres to enterprise standards and architecture design and governance.
- Communicate and win support from senior stakeholders for business-impacting technology decisions.
- Collaborate with development, QA, Application support, and Infrastructure managers to improve the operational efficiency of the organization.
- Selection of technology vendors and commercial negotiation.
- Job requirements:
- Technical competencies and skills include deep Architecture expertise in crypto trading technologies, high performance messaging infrastructures, low latency trading systems architecture, multi-tenant solution architectures, hot DR failover on AWS or other cloud infrastructure, hands-on work experience in various crypto on-chain trading requirements, good understanding of FIX protocol data/message modeling and FIX infrastructure management, experience in cloud technologies particularly AWS/Azure, Java/HTML5/JS, Docker, Kubernetes, databases, serverless, network architecture, agile development methodologies, and DevOps, CI/CD pipeline, and associated tooling, Jira.
