Responsibilities
- Lead the integration, preparation, and acceptance testing of precision guided munitions for ground, flight, platform integration, and evaluation.
- Oversee and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) in collaboration with development teams and system engineers.
- Manage the development of tools, jigs, and fixtures required for manufacturing and acceptance testing.
- Create and maintain detailed assembly/disassembly procedures and technical documentation ensuring mature manufacturing data packs.
- Establish robust facility infrastructure for testing and integration purposes.
- Mentor and train colleagues, preparing clear instructions and user guides to ensure compliance with all workflows and processes.
- Act as a key bridge between development and production teams to facilitate know-how transfer and industrialization.
Requirements
- Minimum 20 years in development-engineering, preferably within precision guided munitions or related defense sectors (experience requirements can be adjusted for qualifications).
- National Diploma, National Higher Diploma, B.Tech., M.Tech., or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, including material properties, manufacturing processes, harnessing, shielding, heat/surface treatments.
- Thorough understanding of systems engineering, baseline management, and lean principles.
- Proven problem-solving, planning, and organizing capabilities.
- Skilled communicator capable of influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and mentor teams in complex engineering environments.
