As the Founding CTO, you will be the technical lead as we evolve from the initial version to scaling successfully. Responsibilities include architecting and shipping the MVP, integrating custody and trading venues, establishing the risk engine, and embedding AI capabilities, all while building a skilled engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on product development and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee borrower/investor onboarding processes including KYC/KYB compliance, permissions, and audit trails.
- Develop collateral and margin engines and manage the loan lifecycle.
- Lead integrations with custodians and exchanges.
- Choose and implement core technology stacks, ensuring security by design.
- Automate operations and enhance client communication through AI and machine learning.
- Manage internal systems and vendor selection, enforce development and security policies.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience building production systems in high-stakes environments (e.g., prime services or institutional crypto).
- Proficient in at least two programming languages out of TypeScript/Node, Python, Go, or Rust; familiarity with Solidity is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and security practices.
- Experience within regulated contexts, prior work with compliance teams is essential.
- Proven track record in leading and developing engineering teams with effective communication skills.
Mobility Requirement: Willingness to relocate to the UAE (Abu Dhabi) as we scale.
