The CTO will be a crypto-native leader with deep fintech or financial services experience, capable of scaling world-class trading systems while pioneering the next era of blockchain-driven financial infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vision & Strategy: Define and drive Bybit’s technology vision and multi-year roadmap, aligning with business goals and global regulatory requirements.
- Innovation & Product Development: Oversee the design and delivery of ultra-low-latency trading platforms and blockchain-enabled financial services. Incubate new technologies across trading, payments, and digital asset custody.
- Infrastructure & Security: Architect scalable and resilient systems capable of handling billions in daily trading volume while ensuring institutional-grade security and risk management.
- Leadership & Team Building: Build and inspire a high-performing engineering and technology organization, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Governance & Stakeholder Management: Ensure compliance with international regulatory, AML, and data privacy standards. Represent Bybit at industry events and key strategic discussions.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven Leader: 15+ years in technology leadership roles, with at least 5+ years as a CTO or equivalent role.
- Crypto & Fintech Expertise: Experience in global fintech platforms or leading financial institutions is highly preferred.
- Blockchain-Native: Strong understanding of blockchain protocols and crypto trading infrastructure is essential.
- Technical Excellence: Background in high-frequency trading systems, distributed systems, and cybersecurity.
- Global Perspective: Experience leading multicultural technology teams in high-growth environments.
- Entrepreneurship & Problem Solving: Strong sense of ownership and innovation mindset.
- Languages: Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage.
