Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate IGW designs and functionalities, ensuring solutions meet performance and reliability standards.
- Deliver high- and low-level design documents (HLD/LLD) to support IGW infrastructure deployments.
- Perform Proof of Concept (PoC) testing, document test results, and recommend enhancements to the IGW architecture.
- Configure and troubleshoot core service provider routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS, Segment Routing, EVPN) for optimal path selection and network stability.
- Design and implement QoS policies and 6PE/6VPE architectures for differentiated services and IPv6 integration.
- Provide expert-level support for Cisco platforms (ASR9900, NCS5500, XRv9000) and IOS-XR systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IGW solutions with broader IT initiatives.
- Participate in knowledge transfer and mentoring activities to build internal capabilities.
Role Requirements:
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert – Service Provider (CCIE-SP) or equivalent certification.
Experience:
- Minimum 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Service Provider networks.
- Proven experience with Cisco IOS-XR, ASR9900, NCS5500, XRv9000 platforms.
- Extensive experience with BGP, IS-IS, Segment Routing, EVPN, QoS, and MPLS protocols.
Training:
- Advanced training in IP/MPLS technologies, service provider routing, and Cisco IOS-XR.
- Exposure to documentation and testing methodologies (HLD/LLD, PoC, validation).
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- In-depth understanding of core networking concepts and service provider architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills with strong documentation proficiency.
Preferable Qualifications and Education:
- Master’s degree in a related technical field.
Experience:
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Cisco CVIM.
- Familiarity with ACI architectures and integration.
Training:
- Exposure to automation frameworks such as Python, Ansible, or NETCONF/YANG.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of cloud networking and SDN/NFV principles.
