What You'll Be Doing
- Observe civil engineering team members as they carry out planning, design, site supervision, and implementation activities on projects.
- Learn to use civil engineering tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Excel) under guidance.
- Shadow engineers during site visits, coordination meetings, and project reviews to understand workflows and decision-making.
- Assist with simple, supervised tasks such as organizing site data, updating basic project documentation, or preparing simple reports.
- Learn how to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
- Observe site inspections, testing, and quality checks to understand methods, standards, and best practices.
- Ask questions and seek feedback to deepen understanding of civil engineering concepts, construction processes, and site procedures.
- Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, and comply with company policies while in the office and on-site.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Currently pursuing a civil diploma’s degree.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Basic understanding of core civil engineering principles.
- Familiarity with common productivity tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Participation in civil engineering–related academic projects, labs, or student clubs.
- Exposure to basic civil engineering software or tools (e.g., AutoCAD, basic surveying or lab equipment).
- Good communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
